In the first congress period 2001 - 2005, EFFAT made progress on gender equality issues, e.g. gender mainstreaming and women's participation in trade union decision-making bodies. This document shows where further efforts have to be undertaken to include gender equality issues in the various EFFAT policy fields and to fully implement the principles for the participation of women in the EFFAT governing bodies and working structures.
EFFAT is the European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Trade Unions.
