Annual EFFAT TNCs/EWCs assembly takes stock of challenges ahead

In the framework of the EU funded project Anticipation of change and the sustainable management of structural changes: Promoting innovative actions to strengthen employee involvement and social partners’ cooperation”, EFFAT held a conference in Belgrade on 15 and 16 June 2017.

The audience was made of EWC members and Coordinators as well as Trade Union Officers dealing with TNCs. The conference was a great opportunity to take stock of the challenges we are facing in TNCs operating in the EFFAT sectors. Moreover participants discussed how to further improve cross-border trade union cooperation through both a better knowledge of the EU social acquis and the strategic use of available workers’ participation rights at national and EU level. Two relevant panel discussions took also place on digitalisation and transnational Company Agreements (TCAs)
